Greetings from the Canadian prairies. I’m Jo Simpson, an artist and quilt designer.

Growing up in a fabric store, I spent countless hours after school among bolts of fabric and flipping through pattern catalogues to plan fun projects I could sew. From making tiny wedding dresses for dolls to sewing myself a full neon outfit, fabric has always been one of my favourite things.

My love for quilting started in my teens when my mom and I made my first quilt. That love has grown into a life full of sketchbooks and quilted projects. Today, you’ll find me sketching little characters for a new design, designing new quilts or snapping photos of every quirky plant I spot on a walk.

I love seeing what makers are creating and am so thankful to play a small behind-the-scenes role in helping that happen.
